Parks

Located just minutes from The Palisades of Mount Adams, Eden Park is a 186-acre park that is home to many of Cincinnati's cultural establishments, such as the Cincinnati Art Museum, Cincinnati Art Academy, Playhouse in the Park, Murray Seasongood Pavilion, and the Irwin M. Krohn Conservatory. In addition, the park has many peaceful places to kick back and relax.

The Hinkle Magnolia Garden is that kind of place. With its picturesque gazebo and nearby fountain, this garden is the perfect place to sit with a book or chat with a friend. Another popular area of the park is Mirror Lake. You'll often find people walking or jogging around this beautiful lake. And on bright, sunny days, many locals have been known to plop down a beach towel and do some sunbathing.

You can also get a healthy dose of history at Eden Park. The Presidential Grove, for example, has trees planted for each U.S. president, beginning with the George Washington oak, planted in 1882. In addition, memorials throughout the park honor veterans from the Revolutionary War, World War I, and the Vietnam War.

However you enjoy spending the day, you're sure to find what you're looking for at this beautiful park, known as the princess of Cincinnati's park system.

Arts Venues

Experience the arts in Mount Adams. The following venues are just a few cultural experiences available minutes from the luxurious condominiums at The Palisades of Mount Adams.

The Cincinnati Art Museum is located in Eden Park and is home to more than 60,000 works of art spanning 6,000 years. While the Art Museum displays its own extensive art collection, it also hosts several national and international traveling exhibits every year.

In addition to the wonderful exhibitions the Art Museum offers, visitors can also participate in art-related programs, activities, and special events. The Art Museum is open six days a week, and general admission is always free; become a member and receive additional benefits.

The Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park is a regional theatre that has been around since 1959. Offering professional productions in two theatres, the Playhouse attracts more than 200,000 visitors a year. Over the years, a steady stream of accomplished performers have graced the stages of Cincinnati's Playhouse in the Park. Many have gone on to distinguished careers in theater, film, and television. And although many of the names are familiar, it's the quality of the productions, not the names of the actors, that continues to draw audiences and keep them coming back for more.

The Krohn Conservatory, located in Eden Park just minutes from The Palisades of Mount Adams, is open every day of the year and is free to all visitors. Completed in 1933, this conservatory is recognized nationally for its display of plant species from all over the world. The exhibits of exotic plants in natural settings even includes a 20-foot rainforest waterfall.

Throughout the year, Krohn Conservatory features special floral shows and events. And at End-of-Show sales, the public can purchase items that were featured in the shows.
